- You should have
- Proven work experience in software development
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Competence in Agile development process
- Proficient in JIRA as test management software
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Can read and write in English
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- If have, then a plus:
- Experience with automated testing tools is a plus
- Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting is a plus
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
- Responsibilities
- Monitor current bug trends and help developers find reproduction patterns to seek long term solutions
- Recording all defect details, creating and distributing reports outlining the types of defects found and the steps taken to resolve the issues
- Investigate root cause of reoccurring suggest solutions, or workarounds and non-technical solutions (if applicable)
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. developers, designers product managers) to craft comprehensive system requirements and success criteria
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases that can be scaled as features/products increase in size
- Estimate, prioritise, plan and coordinate testing activities
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
- Identifying potential operational issues, assess risks, and resolve issues before the new software is complete
- Monitor debugging process results
- If you have these skills, its a plus:
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
